Development versions of BLFS may not build or run some packages properly if LFS or dependencies have been updated since the most recent stable versions of the books.

Install Nautilus by running the following commands:
mkdir build && cd build && meson setup --prefix=/usr \ --buildtype=release \ .. && ninja
If you have Gi-DocGen-2024.1 installed and you wish to generate and install the API documentation, issue the following commands:
sed "/docdir =/s@\$@ / 'nautilus-47.0'@" -i ../meson.build && meson configure -D docs=true && ninja
To test the results, issue: ninja test. The tests need to be run in a graphical environment. One test is known to fail if localsearch-3.8.1 is not installed. One test is also known to timeout if the user running the tests has a large home directory.
Now, as the root
user:
ninja install
If you installed the package to your system using a “DESTDIR” method,
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled
was not updated/created. Create (or update) the file using the
following command as the root
user:
glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas
--buildtype=release
:
Specify a buildtype suitable for stable releases of the package, as
the default may produce unoptimized binaries.
-D cloudproviders=false
: Use this
switch if you do not have libcloudproviders-0.3.6 installed.
